Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs resources revealed a new mediation plan organized by Secretary of State, Ahmed Daoud Oglu, in order to bring along both Tehran and Washington's points of view. This came especially after Iran declared its approval of exchanging Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) of 3%, with Enriched Uranium (EU) of 20%. Resources also said that Daoud Oglu, who is participating in the German Munich-based International Security Conference meetings that started this Friday, will be doing discussions with Iranian Secretary of State, Manouchehr Mottaki, and the American National Security counselor, James Jones.
These two are participating in the conference, which will be representing Iran's new position, in addition to Tehran's desire to continue its negotiations with the West over its nuclear program. Previously on Wednesday, the Iranian Secretary of State visited Ankara, and went through two rolls of negotiations with his Turkish counterpart, concentrating on the latest developments of the nuclear program.
During the common Iranian Turkish press conference, Mottaki talked about direct and indirect negotiations between Iran on one hand, and on the other hand, The International Atomic Energy Agency, the United States of America, France and Russia. He also added that Iran now has of three choices to provide fuel for the medical industry, by producing the fuel, importing it from the outside, or exchanging 3% EU with another 20% EU. Mottaki also expressed his hope of reaching a satisfying agreement over the mechanism of the exchange.
