The British embassy in the Yemeni capital also reopened, but its consular services remained closed, according to a statement on its website.
The US embassy had reopened Tuesday after a two-day closure prompted by Al Qaeda threats saying on its website that Yemeni security forces had addressed a "specific area of concern" in the north of the capital Sana'a on Monday.
