The Palestinian Resistance Islamic movement Hamas denounced the Egyptian police for attacking the activists of the Viva-Palestina convoy "Lifeline 3" heading to the Gaza Strip.

Fawzi Ibrahim, the movement's official spokesman said that the attack on the convoy and its supporters is an attack on the sovereignty of 40 Arab, Muslim, and European countries represented by the participants in the convoy.

Fawzi asserted that such an action confirms complicity of the Egyptian government in the siege on Gaza and preventing any break of the blockade, highlighting that there is no Egyptian intention to lift the siege or even allow the aid into the besieged enclave.
